PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 2, Sector-2, R.K. Puram gives high priority to the safety and security of its students and staff. The school has implemented several measures to ensure a safe and secure learning environment.
The school premises are under regular surveillance through more than 100 CCTV cameras installed at important locations. In addition, 31 fire extinguishers have been installed at suitable points across the school to deal with fire-related emergencies.
To create awareness about disaster preparedness, a safety awareness and training session was organized on 03 July 2025 for the students. During the session, students were guided about the precautions and appropriate course of action to be followed during emergencies such as earthquakes and floods. They were trained to remain calm, follow safety instructions, move to safe areas in an orderly manner, and cooperate with teachers and emergency authorities.
These initiatives aim to develop awareness, preparedness and responsible behaviour among students, ensuring that they are better equipped to respond safely during emergency situations. The school remains committed to providing a safe, secure and supportive environment for the holistic development of every student.
